Bruce is a Sonoma County native. Born in Sebastopol and raised in Santa Rosa. He grew up in a horse riding family and was a member of the riding club Rincon Riders for more than 10+ years. His daily responsibilities taking care of the family horses, as well as the boarded horses, helped shape his dependability and work ethic.

Bruce’s interests include water-skiing, dirt bike riding, hunting, off road vehicle activities and camping with his family. Bruce is married to Wendy Hollingsworth Stephens and they have one daughter, Sabrina. Bruce, Wendy, and Sabrina live in Santa Rosa and have a good sense of community. They volunteer their time and donate to various school and community projects near and dear to them.

In order to have a state of the art independent repair facility, I purchased a Mercedes-Benz Factory Diagnostic computer, to have the most current and up to date information available by the manufacturer. This enables me to perform services and repairs to factory specifications.

Bruce Stephens Automotive is the most Honest, Trustworthy auto repair shop that I have ever been to. I have been taking my car to Bruce for three years now and I can’t recommend him to friends and family enough. My latest wonderful experience with Bruce was via my son. We have been taking my wife's E-320 to Bruce since 2008. Our Daughter also took her Mercedes to him. He is the most competent, honest hard working, and as stated before; "trusted", Mercedes mechanic/business owner in Sonoma County. His prices are more than fair for the amount of time and care he puts into repairing or maintaining your automobile. In some cases, he may not charge you for all of his time. His estimates are accurate and well described so you are not disappointed, or shocked by unnecessary work or random add-ons. His Mercedes-Benz "A" and "B" service is less than many other locations. His shop is spotless, well lighted and a good place to read while he is working on your vehicle. He also works on Ford Trucks and other brands of vehicles. He offers night-drop and great phone advice almost any time of day. We used to go to other Mercedes repair outlets before we found Bruce Stephens, including the Mercedes Dealership. All we can say is we are sorry he waited so long before he opened his own repair shop.

When I pick up my car, truck or classic mustang from Bruce Stephens Automotive I know Bruce has made all the necessary repairs and then some. Our vehicle doesn't leave his shop until it is safe enough for his own family ~ that means it is safe enough for mine. Bruce is an especially talented mechanic who is honest above reproach. I've been going to Bruce's shop for little over a year and I only wish I would have found him years earlier! Bruce is extremely well organized and methodic in his work which I believe is his secret for quickly getting the job done. Not to mention his thirty plus years of experience with Mercedes.
